Architect's Sketchbook Part 2 Begins!

So excited to be taking the Architect's Sketchbook class at USC again this semester! I'm also an unofficial "T.A." this semester, going around helping other students during our field trips. It's really a different experience, trying to teach!
I'd really like to focus on style and color this time around. Copic markers on the second sketch above, I really gotta not rush so much... I really like Ivo Drpic's work, picked up one of his books at a used/vintage bookstore over the summer and it really opened my eyes to the different ways buildings and environments can be drawn realistically in many different styles. I also go to the Urban Sketchers' webpage for inspiration! Anyways, this was our first field assignment, I'll be posting more regularly from now on and uploading some more work I did over the summer as well now that I have easy access to the scanners at school!

Natural History Museum and Long Beach Aquarium!

Went to the Natural History Museum and Long Beach Aquarium for CDA class reunions last week! It was nice seeing old friends again and meeting new people as well ^_^. I'll definitely be going to the Natural History Museum to draw more often now, gotta take advantage of my free admission while I still can! Drawings in black were done by Peter aha.
